1. EZ FIRE PLUS
The EZ FIRE PLUS features two shift levers, just like the RAPIDFIRE PLUS. The upshift lever is located at the top so it is easy to see. The visible gear display allows easy use for entry-level riders. This shifter is recommended for sports casual riding.
2. Optical Gear Display
The OPTICAL GEAR DISPLAY tells you which gear position is selected while riding your bike. You can see how many gears you can select either on the low side or top side, which makes shifting control easier.

3. SIS Rear Index Shifting System
The system constituents such as the index mechanism built in the shifter, the frictionless SIS rear index shifting cable and the smooth action rear derailleur realize the SHIMANO INDEX SYSTEM.
What is SIS?
SIS = SHIMANO INDEX SYSTEM was introduced by SHIMANO in 1984. Each SHIMANO component group featured SIS.
SIS features a mechanism inside the shifter. Because of this mechanism you hear a ‘click’,every time you shift. The shifter and rear derailleur make a synchronised movement.
